Our website sets no cookies, runs no analytics, loads no third-party scripts or fonts, and has no forms. You can read every page without telling us anything.
The "ask your own AI" tool on our site runs entirely inside your assistant. Your questions, your answers, and the shortlist it produces never reach us. We only hear from you if you decide to email us.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Evan's List LLC, doing business as Fosterwerks ("Fosterwerks," "we," "us"), operating the website fosterwerks.com.
Privacy contact: hello@fosterwerks.com. We operate entirely online and deal with you directly, so email is the fastest way to reach us about anything in this policy, including any request under section 9.
Mailing address: Evan's List LLC / Fosterwerks, 440 Burroughs, Suite 154, Detroit, MI 48202, USA.
We are the controller of personal information described in sections 3 through 5. Where we handle information on behalf of a client during an engagement, we act as a processor (a "service provider" under California law), and that client's privacy policy governs. See section 6.
This policy covers our website, our email correspondence, our business outreach, and the personal information we handle while delivering work. It does not cover third-party sites we link to, which have their own policies.
Nothing. There is no analytics package, no advertising or tracking pixel, no embedded video or social widget, no externally hosted font, and no form to fill in. Our pages are self-contained files.
Our site is served by Cloudflare, Inc. To deliver pages and protect against attacks and abuse, Cloudflare processes technical request data on our behalf, which typically includes your IP address, the time of the request, the page requested, your browser's user agent string, and general location inferred from the IP address.
We also have Network Error Logging enabled, which sends Cloudflare reports about failed network requests so we can find broken connectivity. These reports include technical connection details.
We do not use this data to build a profile of you and we do not attempt to identify individual visitors from it. Cloudflare's handling is governed by its own privacy policy.
We set none. We do not use local storage or session storage to track you. Because we do not track visitors across sites, there is nothing for a Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track signal to switch off, but we honor such signals as a valid opt-out request where applicable law requires it.
Our "ask your own AI" page offers buttons that open ChatGPT or Claude with a prompt pre-filled. Following one of those links takes you to a third party operating under its own terms and privacy policy. We receive nothing about what you do there. We are not affiliated with those companies.
When you email us, we receive whatever you choose to send: your name, email address, message content, and anything you attach. Our email is hosted by Forward Email. We use this to reply to you, to evaluate whether we can help, and to keep a record of our correspondence.
Legal basis where the GDPR applies: our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries, and steps taken at your request before entering a contract.
If we contact you about our services without you having contacted us first, this section explains where your details came from and what to do about it.
| What we may hold | Where it comes from |
|---|---|
| Business name, business email address, job title, company website, publicly stated role and industry | Publicly available sources such as company websites, public filings and permit records, professional networks and directories, and licensed business-contact data providers |
| Notes about relevance and whether you replied or asked us to stop | Generated by us during outreach |
We use it to identify businesses that may benefit from our work and to contact them in a professional capacity. We do not knowingly build outreach lists of consumers or of individuals in a personal capacity.
Legal basis where the GDPR applies: legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f)) in business-to-business marketing. You may object at any time and we will stop.
How to stop hearing from us: reply with "unsubscribe," use any opt-out link in the message, or email hello@fosterwerks.com. We honor opt-outs promptly and in any event within ten business days, as required by the US CAN-SPAM Act, and we retain a minimal suppression record so we do not contact you again by mistake. That suppression record is kept for that purpose only.
During an engagement we may build, host, or operate systems that process personal information belonging to a client's customers, prospects, or staff. In that role we act on the client's documented instructions as a processor or service provider. We do not use that information for our own purposes, we do not sell it, and we do not retain it beyond what the engagement requires.
Handover is part of what we deliver. On completion, systems, credentials, and data are transferred to the client, and we remove our access unless a written, scoped agreement says otherwise. A data processing agreement is available on request.
If your information was given to us by one of our clients, please contact that client first. We will support them in responding to you.
We keep our stack deliberately small. The providers who may process personal information on our behalf are:
| Provider | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Cloudflare, Inc. | Website hosting, content delivery, security, error logging |
| Forward Email | Email hosting for our own addresses |
| GitHub, Inc. | Source code and documentation storage |
| Business-contact data and outbound email providers | Sourcing and sending business outreach, where we run it |
| Client-directed providers | Whatever a client's own system requires, under their instructions |
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We have not done so in the preceding twelve months.
Depending on where you live, you may have some or all of the following rights. We apply them to everyone who asks, regardless of location, where we reasonably can.
Email hello@fosterwerks.com and say what you want. We will acknowledge promptly and respond within 45 days (extendable once by a further 45 days where permitted), or within one month where the GDPR applies. We may need to confirm your identity before acting, and we will only use what you send for that purpose. An authorized agent may act for you with written proof.
California residents may also request the categories of personal information disclosed for a business purpose in the prior twelve months. California's "Shine the Light" law does not apply to us because we do not disclose personal information to third parties for their own direct marketing.
We are based in the United States and our providers are largely US-based. If you are outside the United States, your information will be processed there. Where we transfer personal information out of the EEA, the UK, or Switzerland, we rely on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or another approved transfer mechanism through our providers' terms.
We keep the number of systems holding personal information small, use unique credentials held in a password manager, enable multi-factor authentication where a provider supports it, and serve the whole site over HTTPS. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Our site and services are for businesses. They are not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has given us information, email us and we will delete it.
We do not make decisions producing legal or similarly significant effects about you using automated processing alone. Where we build scoring or ranking systems for clients, those operate under the client's control and their policies, with human review built in.
If we change this policy we will update the effective date above. If a change materially affects your rights, we will say so prominently on this page. Previous versions are visible in our public source repository.
Questions, requests, or complaints: hello@fosterwerks.com, or by post at Evan's List LLC / Fosterwerks, 440 Burroughs, Suite 154, Detroit, MI 48202, USA (email is faster). If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact your data protection authority or state attorney general.
